Slow-shifting atmospheres and resonant tones allow you to float through space, feel the tension of distant landscapes, and drift deeper into the unknown.

Galilean Moons takes the listener on a 60-minute journey through the four largest moons of Jupiter. It’s a sonic exploration of these celestial bodies, with each track being a unique meditation on their essence and mystery. The album captures the strange beauty of the outer solar system with slow-shifting atmospheres and resonant tones, offering a chance to float through space, feel the tension of distant landscapes, and drift deeper into the unknown.
Includes the following four tracks (15 minutes each):

1. Io
The journey begins with a sense of quiet chaos, inspired by Io’s relentless volcanic activity and ever-changing landscape. The track pulses with subtle energy, capturing the serene yet ever-shifting nature of this fiery moon. A slow burn of activity is marked by unexpected shifts and a constant sense of something brewing beneath the surface.

2. Europa
Europa’s frozen surface is the inspiration for this one. It’s cold, still, but underneath, there’s a vast ocean waiting. The piece evokes floating under icy starlight, with an air of isolation and quiet potential. There’s an underlying sense of hope, but also the mystery of what might lie beneath the surface.

3. Ganymede
Ganymede’s sheer scale and gravitational pull really come through here. The track is expansive, with deep, broad tones and a sense of ancient history. It feels like drifting through space, pulled by the force of something much bigger than yourself. The weight of time and magnetism is present throughout.

4. Callisto
Callisto ends the journey with stillness and mystery. Its surface has remained unchanged for billions of years, offering a deep sense of ancient calm. This track settles into a quiet, meditative space—resolute, yet open-ended. It’s a moment of contemplation, lingering in the void, as you float past a timeless world.

Cosmic Bliss

Galilean Moons unfolds effortlessly, gently guiding the listener into a serene, meditative state where time seems to dissolve. Each ambient soundscape acts like a cosmic lullaby, softly resonating in the mind and coaxing your breath into sync with its unhurried rhythms. The album’s shimmering tones and slow-shifting textures conjure a feeling of floating weightlessly through space. It’s a beautifully immersive experience—subtle, soothing, and transportive that I highly recommend to anyone looking to reduce stress.

Ambient Bliss

These tracks are crucial for getting in the zone and staying there! There’s enough dynamic change to keep you pushing forward but not so much as to distract. The synths pulse and ooze in a way that feels like a massage for the ears. Think of this album as the perfect runway for your creative endeavors to take flight!

Gorgeous Work

Fantastic album of finely crafted melodies and intensely soothing textures. It takes the peaceful parts of Vangelis (animal apocalypse) and works in periods of rest and space to lose yourself. If Blade Runner was set in space and was about befriending NHI. Bravo, will be coming back for more of this composer.

Rob Dobson

Rob Dobson is a Los Angeles-based musician, producer, and seasoned mixing and mastering engineer whose artistic journey has been defined by exploration - from the raw energy of rock and roll to the expansive realms of ambient sound. With over a decade of experience as an engineer and composer for Hemi-Sync®, Rob has honed his skills in crafting immersive sonic landscapes that provide tranquil backdrops for transcendent meditative experiences.

With the release of "Galilean Moons" on Flying Man Records, the sister label to Hemi-Sync®, Rob embarks on a new chapter in his artistic evolution, fully embracing his love of synthesizers and ambient soundscapes. His work is heavily influenced by the “space music” of Jonn Serrie and the ambient soundscapes of Jim Oliver, Craig Padilla, and Christopher Lloyd Clarke, all of whom have contributed music to Hemi-Sync meditations. Additionally, his artistic vision has been shaped by the cinematic works of Vangelis and songwriting courses with Brian Eno and Laraaji.

While much of Rob's previous solo work blended rock sensibilities with electronic elements, this shift in focus to ambient music draws inspiration from his long-standing fascination with both the cosmos and the inner self. He finds joy in creating music that unfolds at its own pace, allowing for subtlety, space, and depth. This approach feels like a natural extension of his lifelong quest for emotional resonance and sonic clarity, inviting listeners to embark on their own journeys of introspection and discovery.

Additional Hemi-Sync® titles that Rob composed for include Tasting Infinity, Journey to Light, and Your Inner Sanctuary, and more.
