  1. I will recommend this to my friend.

    (verified owner)

Well, I will recommend this to my friend.
In general, it streams smoothly. The Android version of this app has some bugs, sometimes. I also hope that you will fix bugs and bring us a better experience.
And, here I have a suggestion. I see that the settings interface has options for setting the language. I think it might be better if the system can support multiple languages, and put the translated titles (according to which you select) at the front. And non-verbal titles doesn’t need to be translated.

  2. Useful, but not meaningful

    (verified owner)

It’s much better to purchase exactly what you want. Their unlimited service doesn’t include their most attractive titles, nor does it allow you to listen to what you want when you want. It shows titles that you can’t play in the app at all, so what’s the point in showing them?

Include the Gateway Experience in its entirety, raise the price to $49 a month, and I’ll be back.

We appreciate your comment. Unlimited does come with access to four Gateway Experience tracks, but to the extent you consider the entire series of Waves, along with the other album sets, our “most attractive titles,” I suppose you are correct. We try to keep the price of Unlimited as low as possible so that people can access the bulk of our library affordably. The stuff that is available should be playable when you want it though. As for displaying the premium titles, they need to be discoverable for users that have already purchased them, or wish to add them to their library. I’m afraid we would have a fairly small audience at $49/month, but we appreciate your enthusiasm for the Gateway series. 😉

  3. Not really worth it.

    (verified owner)

The subscription doesn’t include most of the titles I was interested in.

    • (verified owner)

We try to keep the subscription price as low as possible, so it does exclude premium content, such as the album series and new releases. If you’re looking for Gateway Experience, there are 4 tracks that are included.

  4. Eduardo

It’s a very interesting tool and I’m recommending to some friends, but some recommendations in the implementation. the app is not clear and doesn’t include the description of the recordings so I’m having to search in the website for it, also include a mark or something to the albums not included since its very disappointing to start listening to a find out is only the initial part. in the subscription you should include temporary download of the files that expire (like music platforms). Finally you might explore a third plan for people with access to all the titles with a higher price, so you don’t loose the market at a $8 price and might get another segment that want all access and are willing to pay more.

  5. Love it, has potential to be better☺️

    (verified owner)

I love this subscription. It has made for easy access to meditations that work well for me. I can’t get through the day without at least meditating in some fashion to keep me intact right now. This subscription has allowed me to expand my experiences with different types of mediations. And I have purchased a few albums as well since starting the subscription because of the subscription. The price is perfect for what it offers.
There are a few things I would like to see changed however. It doesn’t give you a length of run time so I have to take a shot in the dark of how long I’ll be busy. I have kids. And now that I’m homeschooling I have found even less time to myself. Having the time on the meditations would allow me to pick something based off of how much time I’ve managed to take back for myself that day.
The other issue is the album icon. It’s too small. I cant make out the wording on some of these titles. Maybe a way to enlarge the album cover for better reading of the descriptions.
And then there is the issue of occasional glitch that stops the meditation for some reason. I have not figured out if it’s the app or something with my phone yet. It doesn’t do it every time. Just every once in a while.
Overall I recommend it for anyone that is struggling or looking to expand their experiences further.

Thanks for your comments. We’re currently planning a comprehensive refresh of Unlimited and will consider your experience in making design changes, as well as in other improvements.

  6. I use this daily

    (verified owner)

Like the title says, I use this app nearly every day to meditate with. Not only has Hemi-Sync helped me enter deeper states of consciousness while listening to recordings, but it seems to have trained my brain so that I am able to enter deeper states on my own much more readily than before.

I’m particularly fond of the “Into the Light” album, which I use regularly. “Celestial Space” is my new fave; it takes me very deep, and helps me open and clear specific energy centers, which I can feel vividly in physical and finer sensational levels. I’ve used “Far Journeys” to sleep peacefully a number of times. I prefer recordings with little, or better yet, no verbal guidance.

As much as I appreciate, and will continue, using Hemi-Sync in my daily meditations, and for shamanic journeying, I use this app despite its inconveniences, rather than because of it’s seamless, or rich interface. They do seem to have fixed the glitches I mentioned in a previous review, so thank you Hemi-Sync IT for that! Also, it’s now possible to find out before trying to listen to a title, that it’s actually not available in the subscription. However, there is still no indicator on the browse pages, which albums are included in the subscription, and which are for sale only. I agree with another reviewer, that it’s annoying and time-wasting to have them appear when I browse for new titles to sample, only to discover when I click on an interesting looking title, that it’s not available to me with my subscription. Is it technically possible to have the “for purchase only’ titles segregated into a separate section of the app, under a menu button “shop”, or something? Basically, from a sales and customer satisfaction point of view, you’re annoying potential customers by constantly showing them what you’re NOT offering them for their money. It’s a completely different customer experience from clicking on a “shop” button, to see what else they could have, for some more money. Don’t you see?

And, I totally agree with the reviewer who said there needs to be an indication of the length of each album/track, so the customer can know how much time they’re going to commit to. I’ve timed my faves, but I shouldn’t have had to. That’s a basic practice in the recording industry, in place since the days of vinyl, and it’s weird that a business based solidly on selling recordings, wouldn’t follow such a rudimentary etiquette.

Finally, the pricing: it’s worth it to me, because I use this so regularly. However, for this price, (about the same as a Netflix subscription) the app really should be more polished and offer a better customer experience. Nevertheless, I’m willing to put up with it’s creaky-ness, to have access to the content, which is way more valuable than anything Netflix is offering.

Thanks for your comments. We’re working on our first extensive refresh of the app since it’s initial launch and look forward to delivering a more streamlined user experience.

  7. Not worth the time or money

    (verified owner)

Came for the gateway experience but this doesn’t include it. Just a random collection of other rubbish. You’d need to have done the gateway experience for the rest to make any sense. Sorry but without the foundation “go to phase 12” or whatever makes absolutely no sense. Just avoid this money grab trap

    • (verified owner)

Try starting with introduction to Focus 10, then do Free Flow Focus 10, then Introduction to Focus 12. Those are all included with the subscription. We’re pretty clear that the entire Gateway Experience is not included.

  8. signed up but can't use it

    (verified owner)

I signed up for the monthly subscription starting with 7 day trial. I still can’t access first 4 volumes of gateway experience. Not sure why. I can only hear the orientation track ( 10 sec version).

    • (verified owner)

Hi there, the 4 GE tracks you get with Unlimited are Introduction to Focus 10, Free Flow Focus 10, Introduction to Focus 12 and Free Flow Focus 12. You should be able to locate those using the “Explore” feature in the app. From there, you can play them and add them to your library. Please contact interstate@hemi-sync.com for further assistance.

  9. This is worth trying

    (verified owner)

A very long time ago I stumbled upon Hemi-Sync I owned a few of their CD’s and listened to them regularly. Eight Great was my favorite. I feel that it helped me and it’s definitely an experience worth trying. I eventually lost the CD over the years and forgot about it on occasion I would try to google it. I was excited to try the 7 day trial and then purchased the options CD on Amazon. I plan to listen to it regularly and look forward to purchasing eight great again. Thank you Hemi-Sync.

    • (verified owner)

Eight-Great is included in the subscription plan and should be accessible with your 7-day trial…try looking under the “Human Plus” genre.

  10. App doesn't work and no customer service

    (verified owner)

I like the app when it works. It constantly says timeout takes a minute to pull up the track and the track stops by itself in the middle of a meditation. Very frustrating! Even more frustrating is I have written several emails to try and get this resolved with no response. Yes I checked my spam folder. I feel like they are just getting as much out of it as they can before they cancel the program all together.

    • (verified owner)

Hi, it sounds like you’re using the Droid product. The “timeout” error is common on that platform, but it usually doesn’t crash the app. It’s just an annoying bug. If you find that an exercise is cutting out early, it may be that you’re playing a sample of a premium product? If you’ve reported the issue to interstate@hemi-sync.com, rest assured it does get logged and addressed, but it’s all batch processed with the next version update. At any rate, we are firmly committed to the app and will be releasing a major refresh with several bug fixes and cool new functionality, hopefully in February. Thanks for bearing with us…software development is tricky.

  11. Content not so bad, but buggy and overly cautious app

    (verified owner)

The content is good, even though the excluded items make the purchase questionable.
The app, though, is hard to like. It works erratically and every now and again would just stop and pop up a cryptic error message. It doesn’t support caching tracks locally, presumably out of fear of piracy, even if the industry has pretty much made it standard to safely do that with audio and video streaming applications. It’s just a pity that the app doesn’t match the quality of some of the content found in the library.

  12. Very good content, definitely recommend

    (verified owner)

I’m using this every day now, the quality of the albums and tracks available is first class. The app isn’t perfect but very useable once you get used to where everything is. I’d highly recommend
